Fabric Collage Images
Create a fabric collage quilt of your own chosen subject using Susan’s innovative layering/collage method. Individual design, fabric selection, construction, borders, and quilting will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on the collage piecing process. Students will draw their design onto a foundation fabric and fill in the design with fabrics of their choice—without the use of templates. For about an hour each morning, Susan starts with a discussion and demonstration that will lay out the basics of fabric collage and will give you the information you need to start your work day. She then visits each student in turn to address individual needs and their project’s unique challenges.

Ginny Radloff
Arcadia
Ginny is a Certified Judy Niemeyer Instructor from Oxford, Mass. She started her longarm quilting company, Radical Quilts, and was certified to teach for Quiltworx in 2012. She is also the owner of Appletree Fabrics in Auburn, Mass. Ginny has completed more than 200 quilts using Judy Niemeyer patterns! She will be teaching the pattern "Arcadia," and will be providing kits in two different color schemes, if desired. Want to choose your own fabrics? Animal Artistry through Appliqué
David M. Taylor
David Taylor’s quilts are often mistaken as paintings, and that makes him very happy. His works are adapted from photographs, and his technique evolved from his love of jigsaw puzzles. In this workshop, students will learn the secrets to his craft. Topics include his unique pattern drawing method and freezer paper appliqué technique. A strong emphasis is placed on fabric selection (bring as much as you can to the class) and using those fabrics wisely. Students are required to submit image options in advance of the workshop.
